BCB increase national women's cricket team’s payroll, match fee

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has increased the salaries of the Bangladesh national women's cricket team. As a result, women's team are entering the new salary structure. Which will be effective from this month.

According to the new salary structure, everyone's salary has increased by 20 percent. Those who used to get a salary of Tk 50,000 will now get Tk 60,000 and those who get Tk 20,000 will get Tk 25,000.

In addition to the salary increase, the match fee for the Asian champions has also been increased. Earlier in T20, the match fee was 75 dollars which has now been increased to 150 dollars. And in ODIs it has been increased from 100 dollars to 300 dollars.

BCB women's wing chairman Nadel Chowdhury confirmed the development to the media on Thursday.

''We have increased the salary of the women cricketers by 20 percent and they will receive their salary in the new pay scale from this month (July). Earlier they (women cricketers) used to get 100 USD and 75 USD as match fees respectively for ODIs and T20Is,'' said Shafiul.

BCB have also decided to increase the number of national contracted women cricketers.

BCB has awarded national contracts to 22 female cricketers, who have been divided into four categories. With the 20 percent increase in salary now they will receive- Tk 60000(A category), Tk 48000(B category), Tk 36000 (C category) and Tk 25000(D category).
