Bangladesh A team is going to back in the field again after 2 long years as the emerging cricketers will travel to the island of Lanka to play a series against Sri Lanka in November this year. The format of the series is not yet final.

The last time Bangladesh A team visited Sri Lanka was in October 2019. After that, due to the Corona epidemic, the activities of the A team was completely stopped.

Chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)'s cricket operations committee, Akram Khan said to media  that considering the preparation of the players, an attempt is being made to organize a series of longer versions. Responding to the BCB's call, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has given the green signal for the tour next November.

“We have been trying hard for four-five months to make a tour of the A team in Sri Lanka. The matter has been confirmed recently. They gave us time in November. If we don't have any busyness” Akram said Wednesday.

“Then we will do a tour of this team at that time. We’ll try to play in the longer version. For those who have not played in the national team, there is an opportunity to play with a big team, which is why we set a series with Sri Lanka” he added.

Meanwhile, the activities of the shadow team Bangladesh Tigers will start soon. However, Akram claimed that the activities of the shadow team would not clash with the tour of the A team.

"No, there will be no conflict with the shadow team," he said.
