Skipper Saif Hassan's century led Bangladesh Emerging team to clinch the third ODI against the Ireland Wolves at Zahur Ahmed Stadium in Chattogram as the Tigers took a 2-0 lead after a six wickets triumph.

Ireland posted the target of 260 runs for seven wickets, in reply the host reached the target with 27 balls in hand. The unbeaten batsmen Towhid Hridoy scored 43 off 44 balls and Shamim Hossain's stormy innings of 44 off 25 balls sailed the team to victory as they made a partnership of 69 runs.

A match winning knock came from the bat of the capain Saif, who made 120 runs off 125 balls with 11 fours and five sixes. He was returned by Gareth Delany and was caught by Lorcan Tucker.

Other batsmen could not shine much on the pitch as Yasir Ali Rabbi scored 13, last match highest scorer Mahmudul Hasan Joy (16) and opener Tanzid Hasan scored 17.

Wolves’ Gareth Delany took 2 wickets, Ruhan Pretorious and Peter Chase took one wicket each.

Earlier, Ireland wolves lost the toss and opted to bat first. Opener James McCollum started well, however he had to return scoring 40 off 51 balls due to hip cramp. Right-handed batsman Lorcan Tucker (82*) helped the team to a decent good total, after the departure of Curtis Campher (43) who was seven runs short to hit half-century. Tucker-Campher made a partnership of 60 runs.

Irish skipper Harry Tector made 36 runs, while all-rounder Jeremy Lawlor (21) and last match top-scorer Ruhan Pretorious scored just 7, who was run-out by Towhid Hridoy.

Bangladesh fast-bowler Mukidul Islam bagged 3 wickets while Sumon Khan, Hridoy took one wicket each. The remaining two ODIs will be held in Mirpur on March 12 and 14.
