Bangladesh Legends face second defeat in RSWS

Bangladesh Legends have faced their back-to-back defeat as England Legends beat them by seven wickets in the ongoing Road Safety World Series at Raipur on Sunday. Kevin Pietersen's team surpassed the target of 114 runs given by Bangladesh Legends with 36 balls in hand.

The highest run for the team also comes from skipper Pietersen’s bat. Before being bowled by Bangladesh captain Mohammad Rafique, he made 42 off 17 balls. Phil Mustard, who came down in the opening match as his partner, scored 27 off 16 balls.

Former cricketer Alamgir Kabir, who played 3 Tests for Bangladesh, took Phil’s wicket. Chris Schofield went back to the pavilion at 104 on the board by Rafique. At the other end, Darren Maddy left the field with an unbeaten 32 off 32 balls.

Gavin Hamilton remained unbeaten on the other end. He made 5 runs off 6 balls. As a result, England reached the target given by Bangladesh in 14 overs. At the same time, they got the first victory of the tournament. Rafique took 2 wickets and Alamgir took 1 wicket for Bangladesh.

Earlier, after losing the toss, Khaled Masud Pilot and Mushfiqur Rahman led the team to reach 113 runs on board. After losing 5 wickets for 55 runs, these two added 61 runs to the scoreboard of Bangladesh.

Pilot left the field after scoring 31 runs due to pain in his hand. He played 39 balls and hit 3 boundaries to make this run. Mushfiqur is unbeaten on 30 off 26 balls. 4 fours came from his bat.

Md. Nazimuddin tried to make a great start in the second match too, like the first match against the India Legends. He made 12 off 14 balls with 3 fours and was bowled by Ryan Sidebottom.

Chris Tremlett took two wickets for England Legends. Monty Panesar, Chris Schofield and Sidebottom took one wicket each.

Bangladesh will lock horns with Sri Lanka Legends for their third match on March 10th.
