Super Shakib reaches couple milestones

Bangladesh Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is breaking record after record as he has reached another two milestones in World cricket during the ongoing match against West Indies on Monday. Shakib became the first international cricketer to score 6,000 runs and take 300 wickets in three formats combined. While he took part with fellow teammates Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim for reaching 6000 runs on home soil.

However, the southpaw reached the milestone of 300 wickets in the second ODI and touched the milestone of 6,000 runs today. In the first ODI of the series, Shakib reached the milestone of playing his 100th ODI at home. The ODI captain Tamim Iqbal also achieved this feat in the second ODI. Besides, in the second ODI, Shakib entered the club of 2,500 runs at the same venue, Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.

Not only that, the all-rounder was the first and only one-day cricketer in history to touch the milestone of 2,500 runs and 100 wickets at one venue.

Shakib has played 82 ODIs in Mirpur and made a total of 2534 runs with two centuries. He has also taken 119 wickets with the ball. Shakib added another half century and returned to the pavilion with 51 runs with 3 boundaries in the third ODI on Monday (January 25).
