Australia has made notable additions to their 15-player squad for the upcoming white-ball tour of Bangladesh, bringing back two talented players who have been sidelined due to injury.

This six-game series, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is, marks a significant milestone as it represents the first bilateral tour of Bangladesh by Australia's women's team.

It's only the second time they have visited the Asian nation since their triumphant ICC Women's T20 World Cup campaign there in 2014.

With the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Bangladesh later this year, this tour presents an invaluable opportunity for Alyssa Healy's side to acclimate to the conditions anticipated during the 20-over spectacle.

Considering the anticipated significance of spin in the upcoming tournament, Australia has brought back left-arm spinner Sophie Molineux to the fold. Molineux recently made a return to the national set-up during the one-off Test against South Africa in Perth. Additionally, fast bowler Tayla Vlaeminck has earned her place in the squad after enduring a challenging period with injuries, poised to make her first international appearance since the beginning of 2022.

Unfortunately, left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen and experienced all-rounder Heather Graham miss out on selection this time. However, selector Shawn Flegler reassured that there will be ample opportunities for both players to make their way back into the international setup.

Australia squad: Alyssa Healy (c), Darcie Brown, Ashleigh Gardner, Kim Garth, Grace Harris (T20s only), Alana King, Phoebe Litchfield, Tahlia McGrath (vc), Sophie Molineux, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Megan Schutt, Annabel Sutherland, Georgia Wareham, Tayla Vlaeminck
