David Warner has pulled out of Australia's third and final Twenty20 match against New Zealand in Auckland this Sunday due to adductor soreness, Cricket Australia revealed on Saturday.

The 37-year-old, set to retire from all international cricket after the T20 World Cup in June, was absent from Friday's commanding 72-run victory over the Black Caps, marking Australia's consecutive wins over their rivals.

"Warner will require a brief recovery period, which is not expected to affect his availability for the upcoming Indian Premier League leading into the ICC Men's T20 World Cup," Cricket Australia said in a statement.

Warner, who contributed 32 runs off 20 balls in the series opener in Wellington on Wednesday, faced a less-than-favorable reception from the home crowd as he left the field, marking his farewell appearance in this bilateral international series.
