The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided not to appoint Stuart Law as the batting coach of the national cricket team. In addition, the board has decided not to renew the contract with the head coach of the U-19 team as confirmed by a reliable source to Cricfrenzy.

Stuart Law was appointed as the head coach of the youth team in 2022. Under his guidance, Bangladesh won the Youth Asia Cup title, however, Law's crew could not pass the Super Six stage of the U-19 World Cup.

BCB has been seeking coaches for different positions for the Bangladesh national team since the World Cup. A committee was also formed by BCB to select the coach. Law expressed interest in becoming a batting coach and applied for the post.

There were rumours that Law was going to be the batting coach of Bangladesh. However, it was found that BCB has not yet appointed anyone as a batting and pace bowling coach. On the other hand, BCB has ended its relationship with Law.

It is yet to know who will be the next coaches of the national team, David Hemp, head coach of HP, and Samaraweera were also interviewed for the batting coach position. Tushar Imran of Bangladesh also took the test.
