Put in to bat, Sri Lanka posted a competitive 154/4, built on key contributions from their top order. Captain Chamari Athapaththu scored a steady 42, while Harshitha Samarawickrama provided late acceleration with a fluent 49 off 29 balls.
Imesha Dulani added 27, and Nilakshika Silva remained unbeaten on 22 to push the total to a challenging mark.
Bangladesh bowlers shared the wickets, with Fariha Trisna, Sultana Khatun, Nahida Akter, and Ritu Moni taking one wicket each.
In reply, Bangladesh struggled to maintain the required run rate despite a few starts. Sharmin Akhter top-scored with an unbeaten 44, while Juairiya Ferdous made 29 and Dilara Akter contributed 23.
However, regular breakthroughs and tight bowling from Sri Lanka kept Bangladesh in check. Kavisha Dilhari was the standout performer with the ball, claiming 2 for 15 in her four overs and earning the Player of the Match award.
Sugandika Kumari also impressed with an economical spell, conceding just 14 runs in her quota.
Bangladesh eventually finished on 133/5, falling short by 21 runs.
