Akram expressed disappointment over Pakistan’s defeat but was quick to credit Bangladesh for their dominant all-round performance.

He noted that Bangladesh, once known for preparing slow and turning pitches, have now evolved into producing balanced Test surfaces that have helped their fast bowlers flourish.

He described Bangladesh as a team that is now “ready to compete against the best” in Test cricket.

A special mention was made of young fast bowler Nahid Rana, whom Akram called a “treat to watch,” pointing to the emergence of a new generation of express pace talent in Bangladesh.

“Really disappointed to see Pakistan beaten for the second time by Bangladesh, but full praise and marks to the winners as they played complete cricket.
