Historic Winning Streak for Bangladesh
The latest victory has taken Bangladesh to their first-ever four consecutive Test wins. The run includes two victories against Ireland followed by two wins over Pakistan in the 2025–26 season. Previously, Bangladesh had only managed a maximum of three consecutive Test wins on three separate occasions.
Rare Feat Against Multiple Teams
This achievement makes Pakistan only the second team, after Zimbabwe, to lose four straight Tests to Bangladesh. The Tigers had earlier achieved the same milestone against Zimbabwe during the 2013–14 period.
Improved Record Against Pakistan
Bangladesh’s dominance over Pakistan has strengthened further, with their total Test wins against them now reaching four. Only Zimbabwe (9 defeats) and West Indies (5 defeats) have lost more Tests to Bangladesh.
Individual Milestones in the Series
Veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim was named Player of the Series for the first time in his 21-year Test career. Meanwhile, Taijul Islam delivered a career-best performance with figures of 9/187 against Pakistan, surpassing his previous best of 8/205 in 2021.
Taijul Islam’s Bowling Records
Taijul Islam has become Bangladesh’s leading wicket-taker in matches they have won, with 111 wickets. He is well ahead of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who has taken 94 wickets in 19 Tests.
