Bangladesh pace sensation Nahid Rana earned a nomination after playing a key role in his side’s ODI series win over New Zealand.
The young fast bowler picked up eight wickets in three matches at an average of 16.75 and an economy rate of 4.46.
Nahid produced his best performance in the second ODI in Mirpur, where he ripped through the New Zealand batting line-up with outstanding figures of 5 for 32.
He also claimed one wicket in the opening match and added two more in the series decider. His brilliant performances helped Bangladesh clinch a 2-1 series victory and also earned him the Player of the Series award.
Joining Nahid on the shortlist are Oman batter Jatinder Singh and UAE cricketer Ajay Kumar, both of whom impressed with consistent displays during April.
The ICC is expected to announce the winner later this month following voting by fans and a specialist panel.
