The weekly rankings update, released on Wednesday by the International Cricket Council, also brought positive movement for Bangladesh’s batters. Towhid Hridoy climbed two spots to 37th after scoring 84 runs across two innings in the series, which also earned him the Player of the Series award.
Captain Litton Das moved up one place to 52nd following his 26-run contribution in the final match.
Bangladesh had taken the lead in the series by winning the opening match, before the second game was washed out. New Zealand bounced back to win the third T20I by six wickets, ensuring the series ended in a 1-1 draw.
Among Bangladesh bowlers, Mustafizur Rahman remains the highest-ranked, despite slipping one place to 12th. Off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz also made slight progress, moving up to 17th.
In the batting rankings, Tanzid Hasan remains Bangladesh’s highest-ranked player at 26th, despite dropping two places.
