Bangladesh have moved up to eighth in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings, gaining one rating point in the annual update released by the International Cricket Council.

Bangladesh now sit on 225 points, overtaking Sri Lanka, who slipped to ninth after losing six rating points. Afghanistan remain close behind in 10th with 220 points.

At the top, India continue to lead the rankings with 275 points following their successful title defence at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup under captain Suryakumar Yadav.

England (262) and Australia (258) occupy the second and third spots respectively.

The rest of the top seven remains unchanged, with New Zealand (247), South Africa (244), Pakistan (240), and West Indies (233) holding their positions.

The rankings update considers all matches played since May 2025 at full value, while those from the previous two years are weighted at 50 percent.
