Ahead of the World Cup, Bangladesh got a further boost as Shakib Al Hasan reclaimed his number one spot from Afghan all-rounder Rashid Khan in ICC men’s ODI all-rounder ranking.
Shakib is now on the top with 359 points. Rashid khan is on the second position with 339 points. Before the tri series in Ireland Shakib was behind Rashid khan for a considerable margin.
He was in the second position with 341 points before Ireland series. But Shakib’s inspiring performance in Ireland helped him to reclaim the number one spot once again.
Shakib played three matches, scored 134 runs and took 2 wickets. His miserly bowling in those matches helped Bangladesh to pick up wickets in regular intervals. Shakib missed the tri nation final because of Side strain injury.
