Multan Sultan’s batter Usman Khan set a new record for smashing the fastest hundred in the history of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Usman stroked 100 off 36 by smashing eleven  4s and seven 6s in his powerful innings against Quetta Gladiators at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday. He clinched the title of the fastest century from his team fellow Rilee Rossouw a day after he smashed a hundred off 41 balls.

The Sultans batter, with a strike rate of 279.1, managed to make 120 runs on 43 balls laced with 12 fours and nine sixes, before being bowled out by Gladiators captain Mohammad Nawaz.

Usman’s ton is also the second-fastest century by a Pakistan cricketer in T20 cricket. Khushdil Shah scored 100 runs in just 35 balls which included eight fours and nine sixes in 2020.

The match was eventually won by Multan Sultan as the former champions fell just nine runs short as they could accumulate 253/8 in 20 overs chasing 263 runs.
