Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was praised by Bangladesh national team strength and conditioning coach Nick Lee. He thinks Mushfiqur is hardworking and ideal for young cricketers.
Nick has worked with many countries before, however he said that the current team of Bangladesh is an incredibly hard working team. At the same time, the coach thinks that it is very important to be fit to do well in modern cricket.
“I have worked with many other teams, this team is very hardworking. Most of them are professional players, which is what I’ve seen. Mushfiqur Rahim is a great example for some of the younger players. They are starting to follow him. The majority of the squad does what is asked of them.” He said.
“I think they are starting to realise that in this day and age, it is incredibly important to be physically fit. There’s a lot of travel and often games are congested in a short space of time. You do need to be on top of your fitness work, so that you can recover between matches and keep playing at a high intensity the whole year around” he added.
